A former native of Dover, Kentucky, Jeff came from a musical family. A multi-intrumentalist, Jeff can play the piano, guitar, and bass. Jeff started playing in bands as a teen. Following in the footsteps of his older brother Billy, whom he idolized, Jeff performed in various nightclubs and VFW halls in his hometown area.
In 1982, he joined a band called "Nightshift". With Jeff on the keyboard "Nightshift" became one of the most popular bands in the Bracken County, Kentucky area during the early eighties. Not only performing the top Country songs of the period, "Nightshift" also played some of the hottest pop material recorded in 1982 & '83.
After "Nightshift", Jeff went on to become one of the founding fathers of The Southwind Band. Along with Jeff Perkins,Eddie Groves, Danny Thompson, and Bob Snapp, Southwind became the quintessentual party band of the middle 1980's. As the house band for Bob's Bar in Maysville, Kentucky, Southwind packed the house to full capacity for 14 weeks straight.
From Southwind, Jeff went on to perform in other bands and not just as a keyboard player. Jeff has filled bassist and lead guitar positions in various groups.
One of the bands Jeff performed with after Southwind was the very popular Bracken County area classic rock band, Flashback. In this band Jeff got to perform some of the great songs he loved as a kid.
Presently, Jeff is heading his own group called "Justus". Other members include Greg Whiteman, Chuck McCain and Bob Snapp.
Jeff Myers is an important part of the sound of the bands he performs with. Now a seasoned musician, Jeff has the experience and knowledge of years of performing, and the natural talents of one coming from a musical family background.
